Oh, I love my boys...

Not much time to blog lately, but I wanted to share that Sawyer is doing great, the boys are adjusting very well, and life seems to be moving along without skipping a beat. Here is are a few recent pics of Sawyer...

On another note, I took all 3 boys down to my mom's last weekend. The boys could not wait to get outside and play. She has boots for all of the boys and they put them on as soon as they arrive and head out into the back yard. Here are a couple of shots I got of them playing in mom's herb garden. Too cute!

My Sawyer...

My Sawyer arrived last Sunday, September 13th at 3:35 pm. He was 9lbs. and 9oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. The doctor induced a week early so that he wouldn't be too big! I can't imagine what he would weigh today, his actual due date. He came into the world incredibly healthy. The only problem he had was that he was tongue tied, so they had to cut that string of skin under his tongue. They had to do it again at the Dr.'s office a few days later because they hadn't cut it quite enough. He got over it really fast and is doing really well. Raleigh and Hudson are adjusting well. As long as I don't give Sawyer one of Huddie's blankets he is AOK! And as long as I can still get Raleigh a snack he is AOK! I will update with more pictures later. He is such a sweet baby...

Life is good...

The Lutz's summer was full of love, laughter, a few fits and the occasional timeout! But I loved every minute of it. We enjoyed doing mostly a whole bunch of nothing. But on occasion, we did get out and explore a bit.

Below is proof that I am growing and growing and growing, and can't wait for the arrival of Sawyer in mid to late September!



Bryan and I enjoyed 4 glorious, relaxing, fun days at Disney's Port Orleans Resort thanks to Aunt Terrie. And thanks to Mom and Dad for watching the boys for us. I know it was a lot of work and Bryan and I really appreciate you. You know your kids are well taken care of when they call you on the phone and tell you not to come home because he wants to live with YaYa FOREVER! Good grief. I asked mom if she could please get on to him a little so he would want to come back home!


Raleigh began to love taking pictures this summer. He has actually taken some pretty good ones and for some reason there are always pictures of his feet! Maybe he will be a photographer. Here is a sampling of his work.

We enjoyed a ridiculously hot trip to the Jacksonville Zoo. Both boys loved the Elephants.

Thank goodness for the splash pad to cool down in. I love Huddie's little belly...

It was so hot, indeed, that we put ice packs on the kids. Huddie had one on his feet!

And what is summer without a cool pair of Shades! Look at those lips!!! MMMMMMM

An educational trip to the Museum is always great. They boys enjoyed the puzzle table more than anything!

I loved spending time with Mom, and I think the boys did too! She is such a great YaYa and my boys are so blessed to have her in their lives.

And the 3 stooges. Boy they are rough, but so much fun. My boys definitely love their cousins and Aunt Jen!

I plan on soaking up every second I can of them this, my last week of summer. More swimming, more napping, more Curious George. It couldn't sound more perfect to me!

Nice to be home...

Don't get me wrong, we had a great time. But, there is just something about being home, sleeping in your own bed, showering in my shower, cleaning my kitchen. I am happy to say I got everything unpacked today, cleaned the house and cleaned the in and outside of my trashed van. I even went to Publix and gave Huddie a much needed haircut. He looked like a woolly booger the whole time we were gone. I am feeling much better and am looking forward to going to Target with the boys tomorrow. I think I am having withdrawals!! :) I am feeling quite pregnant these days and can't believe that I still have 2 more months to get even bigger. I think I will be huge! Here, take a look:

On a different note, Bryan's uncle Steve gave Hudson the nickname "Mugsy" while we were at the lake. It seems to fit him because of his intense fit pitching and his strong spirit. I think it's adorable. He is definitely strong willed. I wonder if will gets stronger with each one. If so, I better get me a reservation in the nut house now. Raleigh gave himself the nickname "Dash" because he thinks his super power is Super Sonic Speed. Uncle Steve asked him at dinner if he knew any superheros and he said, "Yeah, Mommy!" Isn't that precious...

Lovin' Lake Gaston

So, our family is in the middle of a week stay at Lake Gaston North Carolina. This is Bryan's families 8th or 9th year coming to the same house. The house is a 3 story log cabin and we have crammed 16 people in. Funny thing is we never feel crowded. It is beautiful here. We have our own beach leading down to the water, a floating dock and a slide on the fishing dock that the kids can have fun on. The first days with kids are always a little rough. You know, new place, new people. Kind of freaks them out. I think we are doing OK now. This morning was 60 degrees and breezy. If I could bottle it up and bring it to Florida I would. Hudson has been going around stealing the kids drinks and apples.

I think this explains how both of us were feeling day 2.

Raleigh loves spending time in the water with the big kids. They are really good with him.

Happy 4th

Looking forward to spending the day with YaYa, Papa, PJ, Pappy and my cousin Shannon who I haven't seen since my Grandma's funeral 6 years ago! She is almost just like me, so we should have fun together. Nothing better than a day filled with burgers, swimming and fireworks. Sure do wish my sis was here...

A little homemade fun...

Our family had a great weekend! There was shopping in Orlando, a date with my hubby and a fantastic dinner prepared by mom, dad and Jen that would put any restaurant to shame. The highlight, though, was the redneck slip and slide that my husband sat up in my parents back yard. It was like a 40 foot long blue tarp that we put sprinklers on, tons of soap and the kids were pulled by a rope and slung off the end. My favorite part was when my sister decided to throw on some old clothes and participate. I know, so not Jen, but she did it. I think she had fun! Here are a few photos and a video for proof.
