Slip and Slide fun

These are pictures from Easter at P.J and Pappy's house. They set up a slip and slide for Raleigh, Justin, Katie and Connor to use. Raleigh was real hesitant at first. He watched the big kids do it for a while. When he finally tried, he slipped off of the runway and bumped his head(poor baby). That set him back a little longer. We later decided to get a rope and run with it while the kids held on to it, then we would sling them off the end. Too much fun! After about 20 mins. of watching, Raleigh decided to do it. Then, we couldn't get him to stop. When he got to the end he would stick his hands up in the air, yell Hooray, then say, "Me turn again". What a big boy!

My little Raleigh

I started thinking back to when Raleigh was Hudson's age and began missing him so much. I found all of our old pictures and couldn't believe how similar the two are starting to look. This is one of my favorite pictures of Raleigh. He was six months old and we were laying on our bed playing. They grow up so fast. It doesn't even seem like it is the same kid. I hope you enjoy the flashback. I sure did

Raleigh's Boycott

I guess it was too good to be true. Raleigh has been so good and understanding and helpful with Hudson...until about 3 weeks ago. I started shouting at me and being very uncooperative, which is not like Raleigh at all. I thought that maybe it was just because he turned 3 he was starting to go through the "terrible 3's", but we did a little experiment and we noticed that he only acts up when Hudson is around. My dad took him off Saturday alone and he was great. He was also great during Hudson's nap times or when he was not in the same vicinity as Raleigh. Finally, the other night, he was being to bad and I said, "Raleigh, are you upset that Mommy brought Hudson home?". His response was "Yes". And then I said, "Don't you like Hudson?" He with responded with, "No, I don't like Hudson. Enough Hudson for me!" (Bless his heart, he is in crisis) We'll, as a mom that is pretty tough to hear. I started crying and apologizing and promised him that he would love him one day and that they would be best friends. Since I poured on the tears, things seem to be better with him. Tears work on his father too! :)

SeaWorld

Taking Drew and Raleigh to SeaWorld was so much fun. It was neat to watch them as they discovered new and different animals. I think that they both liked the stingrays and the penquins most of all. Bryan took Raleigh through the roped kids play land because Raleigh thought he wanted to do it. I think he realized when he got in there that his feet weren't quite big enough yet! Maybe next time.

Easter and Birthday Celebrations

We have had a busy last few weeks...
Easter was fun! Mom held her 2nd
Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the boys and all of the cousins. Everyone did really well together. I think that they had a lot of fun. Raleigh really enjoyed the egg hunting.

Raleigh also had his 3rd birthday March 31st. He talked about it the whole month. It was the first year he really understood and it was fun watching him pick out his cake and getting excited about a party. We did SeaWorld on Saturday and a party at Mom's with family on Sunday. Needless to say, he was exhausted.

Hudson is growing like a weed, he is rolling over, almost sleeping through the night, giggling, and has had his 3rd haircut!
