The Best Four Years of My Life!

My precious Raleigh turns 4 today! Has it really been that long? I guess it has. Sometimes it feels as if I have always had him, as I could not imagine my life without him. He has the sweetest, kindest spirit and has the power to make any one's day, even a stranger, just by saying something to them. He can make friends with anyone. He has changed my life and there are no words to express how much I am in love with the guy. I thought I would share some pictures from his 2 birthday celebrations. We had a pirate party at YaYa's Sunday afternoon, and Saturday, Bryan and I took him to Typhoon Lagoon for the day for a little R & R...

Date with Papa

So, my Dad won tickets to a preview showing of Monsters vs. Aliens in 3-D from channel 6 news! He was so excited that he and Raleigh were going to go and spend the day together and see the movie. Most of you don't know, but Raleigh is notorious for not making it through a movie in the theater, sometimes he won't even see the beginning. Papa said, "Oh, he's with me, he'll be fine." So they drove to Orlando this morning to claim their tickets, got to meet some of the news anchors and then preceded to get popcorn, twizzlers and a diet coke. When they got in there it was awful crowded so they had to go to the very top to sit (which I think is the best). Almost as soon as they sat down, Raleigh said, "Papa, I'm scared". Unfortunately, they never made it to the beginning of the movie. All of the news anchors tried to talk him in to staying. Even the pretty traffic girl said she would sit with him. He said, "that's ok, we are going to McDonald's"! Dad said that even though they never saw the film, they had a great time! Thanks Dad, for trying. He had a good time anyway!

It's Official

I have waited my whole life to be a soccer Mom, and it looks like that day is finally here! We signed Raleigh up for "Kangaroo Kickers" at the Y and he had his first practice today. It was so much fun. Raleigh actually listened and participated the whole hour. He is on a team with mostly 4 and 5 year old's, and he totally held his own. The first 30 minutes I spent choked up and ready to cry from the shear joy of watching my little boy be such a big boy. The four of us had a great time and we can't wait for next Monday to get here!

Welcome back enjoyable weather!

So yesterday, the boys and I spent some much needed time outside. We had dressed warmly that morning, so we went home and put on shorts/short sleeves and headed to the park. We played for a little while and Raleigh announces that he has to go poopy. So, we went in the the Village Market next door and used their restroom. Of course, as we were leaving, Raleigh says,"Mommy, do you have your credit card?" He wanted ice cream. So Raleigh got ice cream and Huddie and I shared a very delicious lemon bar. After eating, we went back to play. They boys had a great time. Hudson was climbing all over everything. It is so nice that he can walk now and participate in the fun.

Well, I have finally finished the saga! I have to say, I am really sad it is over. I have never been a big reader and never would have thought that I would have gotten through 4 huge books in less than 2 months. Wow, I rock. I loved the fourth one and did not find it dark like most people told me. I can't wait to see what the author comes out with next.

On a different note, below is a video of my Huddie cruising around the house. He is unstoppable. Much like a superhero! I call him Captain Soggy pants! He couldn't be more proud of himself, as Raleigh, Bryan and I could not be any prouder either.

I just got my camera back from the "Geek Squad", which is why I have not posted any pictures in a while. I thought I would share a picture of my Raleigh zoning out in front of the t.v. What a typical guy!
